Overview
Eurofish added pouch lines in 2005, originally for European and US customers, and now packs retail pouches and institutional food-service sizes. The flexible format cuts packaging weight, reduces freight cost per tonne of fish and needs no can opener or draining in busy kitchens.
Pouches are filled with the same skipjack and yellowfin from our fleet, in water, oil or ready-to-eat sauces, and sterilised in retort autoclaves under the same BRCGS and IFS certified processes as our canned lines.
Custom printing makes the pouch itself the shelf presence — an advantage for private label programmes targeting modern trade.

Frequently asked questions
Why choose pouches over cans?
Pouches weigh roughly a third less than equivalent cans, sterilise faster (gentler texture), open without tools and reduce kitchen waste — at the same food-safety standard.
Do you print custom pouches?
Yes, rotogravure-printed pouches to your artwork are standard for private label programmes, subject to minimum print runs.
What shelf life do pouches have?
Commercially sterile retort pouches typically carry 24–36 months shelf life depending on recipe and market regulation.
